The Fruit From Beyond
At the end of April, my cousin Ari graduated from the University of Michigan. This photo was taken at his graduation party held at his grandmother's house. At the graduation party, I found a bowl of fruit and decided that it would be great to document for my still lifes project.
Buns, Buns, Buns and More Buns
So Hot they Burned
For dinner, one of the entrees were hot dogs. After the hot dogs were grilled they were randomly placed in the pan. This still life represents my love for food and the game of baseball. When I eat, I mainly eat meats, yet I tend to favor vegetables because they are healthier, and they require less work on the body. Hot dogs relate to the game of baseball because they are known to be commonly sold and eaten at ballparks. It is important for me to document this image through photography because it lets me go back and reflect on my relationship to hot dogs and helps me keep my identity as a baseball player and fan.
