When I traveled to New York, I had the luxury of visiting Times Square. The majority of the buildings contained enormous signs and ads, such as the Batman v Superman poster (pictured above). Most of the buildings were mainly composed of glass so it was common to see reflections. The feeling I’m trying to convey is excitement, since Batman v Superman is an action- packed movie. When I made the blueprint for this image, I was unsuccessfully able to take the shadows and reflections out, they interfered with a couple stories of edges on a building.
This place is just outside of Chinatown. The goal of this photo was capture the uniqueness of a glass building surrounded by brick buildings. The feeling I’m trying to convey is openness. While using this photo I had some difficulty balancing out the levels. In the end it all worked out as this photo had few to no shadows.
Praying in ChinatownThis photo was taken in Chinatown. The building is a church I walked by a couple times. I chose this composition because it was very compelling. This building stuck out and caught my eye because of the way it glowed in the dark. The feeling I’m trying to convey is trust. You pray with your family and the god, gods or goddess and you trust all of them.

I chose to take this photo at a Starbucks near Chinatown. I chose this composition because it’s more interesting when I take a photo of a building with a sign on it. The feeling I am trying to convey is hunger. When I made my blueprint, I made sure to crop out people's heads and cars. The one thing I couldn’t successfully accomplish was getting rid of the shadows in the blueprint.
